“Why”

The word “why” contains only three letters, yet it has had a powerful impact on human history. It helped transform humanity from the dark Stone Age to the space and atomic era. The curiosity to ask why became the first intellectual tool of human beings, a spark that ignited in the darkness of the mind and grew into a flame that illuminated the world. Through this questioning spirit, humans began to rule the world and dominate other species. History is a witness that civilizations which dared to ask "why" achieved best in ruling, technology, social reforms, and many other fields. On the other hand, history also tells the story of the downfall of those who tried to suppress people who asked "why”.

Beyond the Mountains

I come from a place where the mountains seem endless, where green valleys carry stories of generations, and where nature speaks louder than words. Surrounded by the Hindu Kush, Chitral is one of the naturally blessed places in Pakistan. Our heritage, traditions, languages, and culture give this land an identity of its own. Yet there is a contradiction in growing up here: we may be surrounded by beauty, but opportunity does not always reach us with the same ease.
