Green Together is a collaborative climate action initiative organized by Yaran e Khair in partnership with AKYSB and EnviroAction Hub, reflecting a shared commitment to environmental sustainability, community engagement, and climate resilience. Recognizing the importance of local action in addressing global environmental challenges, the initiative sought to inspire individuals to become active stewards of their surroundings through practical and community-driven environmental activities.
As part of the project, volunteers came together at Golden Home, Peshawar, where they planted a variety of trees and ornamental plants to enhance the local environment and create greener, more welcoming spaces. However, the initiative extended beyond a one-day plantation drive. Participants were encouraged to adopt the plants and take responsibility for their long-term care, reinforcing the idea that climate action requires sustained commitment rather than one-time efforts.
The project also emphasized the connection between green spaces and human well-being. By improving the surrounding environment, the initiative aimed to promote cleaner air, biodiversity, and a more peaceful atmosphere that supports emotional and mental well-being for residents and visitors alike. Through collaborative action and volunteer engagement, Green Together highlighted the power of partnerships in driving positive environmental change and cultivating a culture of sustainability.
Yaran e Khair remains committed to expanding climate action initiatives that empower communities, encourage environmental responsibility, and contribute to a healthier, more sustainable future for generations to come.
We want to plant more and more trees possible. If you want to help us, please send us a message and lets make this world a better place to live. If you can only give Rs. 500 just this one time, it will still make a difference.
